Our New Range of Wax Finished Oak Window Boards

Included with all of our oak window board sizes and profiles is the option to choose a high quality wax finish. This is an optional extra that can be selected over our unfinished oak sills, and offers the opportunity to have some or all of your oak window boards finished to an exceptional standard.

How to order waxed oak window boards

Choosing this option is easy. On each product listing page (for example '20mm Bullnose Window Sill', '25mm Chamfer Window Sill' and so-on) you will see a list of swatches for all wax colours that we currently offer. The swatches will look like this:

Simply select the option of the colour that you like. Hovering over each swatch will provide a detailed description of the exact colour, which currently consists of light/clear, light brown, stripped pine, antique brown, rugger and jacobean. As oak is a natural product and can differ in colour and grain depending on the individual piece, we do encourage customers to take note that the swatches are for illustration purposes and that photographic samples of specific colours can be provided upon request.

To narrow down the window boards by colour when searching through our different profiles and sizes, we have a filter in the sidebar of all window sill collection pages. Simply select the colour that you like and you'll be updated with the oak window sills that currently match your criteria. Choosing unfinished or alternative window board finishes

We understand that a waxed finish oak window board is not for everyone, which is why you're more than welcome to order your oak boards without any finish. Simply do not select any of the wax finish options, or de-select any option you've already chosen and we'll send your oak window boards perfectly machined and sanded, ready to finish by yourselves with your chosen product.

Alternative finishes are in the pipeline, and we hope to introduce a range of oil finishes in the near future. This applies to not only our oak window boards but also our other product ranges including oak shelves and oak beams.
